Financial Analyst
Overview
The Sill seeks a Financial Analyst to enhance reporting on key metrics through analysis of financial results and customer data. This is a new role for The Sill and will help shape key strategic decisions for the business.
Location
This role will be located at The Sill’s headquarters in New York City.
Reporting
This role will report directly to the VP of Finance.
Role Description
The Financial Analyst supports enhanced financial forecasting and modeling through variance analysis on key assumptions. This includes deep and detailed mining of our customer data to understand trends and patterns. You will also help provide actuals to budget reporting and guidance for internal budget owners. There will be ad hoc modeling projects to support decision making at the leadership level.
Areas of Responsibility
● Generate budget vs actuals analysis, investigate and explain key variances, trends, and drivers
● Analyze customer data at the cohort level to understand retention, purchase patterns, and LTV
● Partner with internal departments for monthly reporting on actual spend vs. budget and re-forecasting based on results
Key Traits & Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related area with at least 3 years of finance experience
● Strong analytical and quantitative skills
● Advanced excel skills; VBA & Macros a plus
● Ability to build financial models and analyses from scratch in an accurate and timely manner
