Plaid's ability to maintain consistent and reliable integrations with financial institutions is a core part of our value proposition, and financial institutions are increasingly becoming customers of Plaid. As a BD associate you will work closely with Plaid's FI partners on both fronts: building strategic relationships that ensure high-quality integrations and helping position Plaid as a leading technology provider in commercial conversations.

You will support Plaid and the BD team’s broader strategic priorities. This often manifests itself in the form of special projects including sourcing and developing key strategic partnerships, managing product pilots with FI partners, helping evaluate new opportunities and markets, etc. Comfortability working collaboratively with cross-functional internal stakeholders (e.g. product, engineering, marketing, finance, compliance, etc.) to drive alignment and results is a requirement.

In addition to building an understanding of the technical aspects of Plaids products, you will need to build a deep understanding of Plaid’s position within the ecosystem and how we work with FIs, other fin techs, and consumers.

• Desire to understand macro industry trends and succinctly articulate impacts to Plaid
• Desire to develop proficiency using SQL-based data visualization tools (e.g. Periscope) to generate FI insights and business tools (e.g. Salesforce) to drive scale and efficiency
• Adept at using business tools (e.g. Salesforce) to drive scale and efficiency
• Strong executive presence and ability to easily build relationships
• Ideal candidate is positive, collaborative, organized, focused and a self-starter
• Financial services, consulting or banking experience is a plus
