OBJECTIVE

The Financial Operations Analyst will perform finance and operations functions to support the firm’s investment and reporting activity and management of its portfolio companies. This is an important role in a rapidly growing venture capital firm with visibility to all levels of investment professionals and management. Though you will interface with the investment team, this is not an investing role.

RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Manage Greycroft’s portfolio company reporting process and coordinate with outside data collection vendors
  • Track portfolio and fund return forecast using purchase reports from fund administrator, cap tables, financials, investment memos, and input from the investment team
  • Support the deal pipeline and investment activities by coordinating capital calls and deal closings with fund administrator
  • Prepare and maintain valuation models in support of portfolio company valuations
  • Prepare financial models and ad hoc analyses related to financial operations, firm operations, and financial reporting
  • Assist in the preparation of semiannual investor reporting packages, including portfolio company profiles and investor letters
  • Manage collection of financial data and valuation inputs as part of the ASC 820 valuation and annual audit process
  • Assist in the review and approval of quarterly financial statements, incorporating valuation changes
  • Respond to data requests related to fund reporting, including requests by fund administrator, limited partners, and third-party data providers 
  • Prepare presentation materials for firm’s annual investor meeting and advisory board meetings
  • Support legal, compliance, and investor relations functions at the firm
  • Improve internal systems and processes to help scale the business

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 1-3 years’ experience in investment banking, management consulting, valuation services, accounting, or finance
  • Understanding of financial principles
  • Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Data visualization and analysis experience a plus
