FP&A Manager, Business Planning
We are building a finance dream, and on the hunt for a motivated, meticulous, and analytical FP&A Manager to play a key role in the Finance dept. We are experiencing rapid growth, and this senior position will work with the Director of FP&A and the Finance & Strategy team to enhance and build the Business Planning function at Noom. This role will be dedicated to helping Noom stakeholders make well-informed decisions optimized for long-term continued business growth.
More specifically, the FP&A Manager, Business Planning will lead the long-range planning process, providing analytic support and developing actionable insights and strategies focused on new business models and market intelligence used for long-range planning, business strategy, product roadmaps and investment prioritization.
What You’ll be doing
- Create, lead and maintain the long-range financial plan for the entire business with support from FP&A and the Central Finance teams
- Support strategic business decision-making through financial modeling and analysis mainly focused on new business models (Product planning, M&A, Monetization, Pricing & Packaging) and market intelligence (TAM, competitive landscape)
- Partner with product leadership and drive the process to identify/prioritize products & features to be packaged and priced
- Design and maintain periodic market research reports covering competitors in similar and adjacent markets as well as key trends in collaboration with the Consumer Insights and Corporate Development teams
- Participate in the assessment and implementation of high-impact strategic and business development initiatives including support of potential mergers and acquisitions, global expansion opportunities and the evaluation of new technologies and programs
- For internal stakeholders, persuasively communicate your findings and recommendations to all levels of management through clear presentations and proficiency in the qualitative factors that complement your analyses
- Provide inputs for Board, Lenders and Investors materials, including summary outputs, competitive landscape, market trends, and standard reporting packages
What We’re Looking For:
- BA/BS in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Data Science, or related field (MBA preferred)
- Five or more years of experience in financial planning & analysis, management or strategy consulting, or public and managerial accounting
- Two or more years of prior Strategy & Finance/Pricing/Business Development experience or directly supporting a Business Planning organization (highly preferred)
- Highly proficient in modeling/frameworks and Excel
- Experience with SQL/Looker and Adaptive Insights is ideal (FP&A software)
- Experience in Subscription/Recurring Revenue (SaaS/B2C is a plus)
- Experience with Research and Analyst reports (Capital IQ, Qualtrics) is a plus
- Exceptional problem solving skills, demonstrated ability to structure complex problems, develop solutions, and craft compelling presentations
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Able to ruthlessly prioritize
- Work well under pressure
