Why is the FP&A Manager important to us?
The FP&A Manager will work closely with the CFO and the Accounting Team to support planning, forecasting, financial reporting, and financial analysis for Shapeways. This position will be responsible for performing financial analyses and driving the various planning, forecasting, and reporting cycles. The ideal person will be resourceful, results-focused, hyper-analytical with a keen attention to detail, a strategic thinker who can roll up their sleeves and get it done. This role reports directly to the CFO.
As the FP&A Manager, you will be responsible for:
Running the annual budgeting process and reforecasting processes throughout the year; includes forecasting revenue, cost of goods sold, operating expense and cash burn
Conducting monthly variance analysis versus plan, prior year and forecast updating and maintaining monthly forecast models
Serving as the Finance team’s lead on all pricing analysis and decision making
Analyzing return on marketing investments and advising on marketing spend decisions
Supporting decision making, making recommendations to management, and driving business growth
Serving as an effective business partner with other teams, in order to support planning, forecasting and business decisions
Providing regular and ad hoc reporting and analysis in support of C Suite to help drive business results; coaching analysts embedded in other teams to produce high-quality, consistent reports
Preparing presentations for Board and Senior Management
Managing a Business Intelligence Analyst
You might be a good fit if you (have/are):
5+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis role
A bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
Adaptable with excellent analytical skills and the ability to articulate findings and translate them into actionable solutions and processes
Advanced MS Excel and MS PowerPoint user with the ability to manage/format large files, produce ad hoc reports/templates, troubleshoot errors, and perform data analysis
An ability to function both independently and in a team environment and communicate effectively with key stakeholders; including upper management and c-level executives
An understanding of generally accepted accounting principles
