What We're Looking For:
The General Ledger/Fixed Assets Accountant plays a pivotal role in Domio’s Finance Department.

At Domio You Will:

  • Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations for various GL accounts
  • Analyze monthly variances across GL accounts and investigate discrepancies
  • Partner closely with financials statement line item owners and business partners from various departments
  • Continuously seek process improvement and automation initiatives
  • Develop and implement process improvements, document desktop procedures and processes to achieve operating efficiencies
  • Ensure an accurate and timely month end close by preparing various journal entries and account reconciliations for cash, prepaids, accruals, inter-company, fixed assets, and various other accounts
  • Coordinate with other departments to obtain transaction information, research reconciling items, and resolve issues
  • Ensure proper accounting policies and principles are followed in accordance with GAAP
  • Assist in project implementation of new procedures to enhance the workflow of the department
  • Assist in quarterly reviews and annual audit with external auditors
  • Support overall department goals and objectives
  • Provide backup support to the accounts payable team as needed
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects and management inquiries 

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 4+ years professional accounting experience
  • CPA/CA or equivalent preferred
  • Hospitality industry experience preferred
  • Team player, have ability to work independently and willingness to take on challenge
  • Ability to interact with all departments and levels throughout our organization
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP principles and financial statements
  • Flexible to meet changing priorities and the ability to prioritize workload to achieve on time accurate results
  • Proficient with Excel and Google Sheets
  • Detail-oriented, self-directed, and able to effectively complete tasks with minimal supervision
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g. Sage Intacct, NetSuite)
  • Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools (e.g. Chartio, Pulse, Tableau, SQL Server)
  • Advanced level Excel skills (i.e. macros, pivot tables, complex formulas, dashboards, etc.)
  • Highly organized, adaptive, comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work as part of a team and with different stakeholders (Finance team, Business teams, Product and IT, HQ, Regional HQ)
  • Process Orientation, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to think strategically/conceptually and take the initiative to lead results
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision with strong leadership and entrepreneurial skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
