What You’ll Do

Reporting to our CEO, Head of Finance & Accounting will build and scale our core accounting and control processes as we launch and grow our business. Specifically, you will:

• Create and maintain Galileo’s monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with an eye towards accuracy and scalability
• Manage the monthly close and consolidation process for Galileo and its affiliated entities
• Oversee Galileo’s audit processes internally and liaise with external auditors
• Drive the software selection and implementation process for our finance and accounting systems
• Ensure we remain compliant with applicable tax laws and US GAAP accounting/financial standards
• Manage our internal budgeting process

Who You Are

We’re looking for someone with the following:

• Expertise in running accounting and control processes and systems for growing organizations
• Facility with managing corporate affiliate/multi-entity accounting
• Expertise in healthcare plan and provider financing or transferable skills, with an eagerness to learn
• Experience in creating and driving strategic finance function in which accuracy, processes, and productivity are continuously improved
• Excellent accounting skills
• Technical knowledge and skills, including facility with tax compliance, GAAP, data analysis, and relevant financial software
• Desire to make a difference in healthcare and to be surrounded by like-minded individuals
