Job Description

Procore is looking for a Head of Global Procurement to join our Finance Strategy and Operations team. In this role, you’ll design and deliver scalable, business-enabling services to transform our procurement business processes that affect how we scale to serve the $11T construction industry. You’ll think big, partner effectively, lead a team, and execute nimbly in order to improve and transform our global procurement capabilities.

As our Head of Global Procurement, you’ll operate as a strategic partner to all Procore businesses units. While driving financial accountability and value, you’ll use your strong negotiation, communication, leadership and systems thinking skills to improve processes, drive automation, and become more efficient while developing and communicating clear metrics that support high growth at scale.

This role reports to the Head of Global Real Estate, Workplace Operations & Safety, and Procurement and is based remotely in the US with travel as needed to our primary facilities.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead and scale the global purchasing organization by building strategic partnerships with internal and external constituents to drive selection, supplier evaluation, the bidding process and contract negotiations

  • Continually improve upon, refine and strengthen purchasing policies, procedures and controls while partnering with key business stakeholders across every function within Procore

  • Identify and recommend opportunities to optimize and reduce costs, and prepare Procore to operate efficiently and effectively at scale

  • Develop a program that assists and trains Procore sales teams on how to best navigate Procurement teams in the sales cycle

  • Build, lead, and develop a strategic sourcing team that identifies and develops long-term agreements, ongoing software contracts, and partners with FP&A to identify areas to optimize resources

  • Construct and Lead a travel management and expense function that expands, implements, and evolves corporate travel and credit card programs to meet Procore’s needs as the company grows

  • Advance automation efforts to improve upon user experience, efficiencies and accuracy of reporting and data

  • Continue to improve upon internal customer support/service on inquiries through systems and processes that focuses on a seamless employee experience

What we’re looking for: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in business, accounting, or a related discipline.

  • 10-15 years’ experience in increasingly broader procurement, business or functional roles with a proven track record of achievement and growth in leadership

  • Strong broad knowledge of Procurement processes and practices.

  • Experience serving in leadership roles through a procurement transformation

  • Experience evaluating, building, evolving and scaling systems for procurement and travel management.

  • Experience using technologies like Coupa, JIRA, Confluence, and Excel

  • Strong problem solving skills with a focus on understanding metrics/analytical data.

  • Hands on leader, with a focus on continuous process improvement

  • Experience within Technology or SaaS preferred
