The Finance Team at Marley Spoon is young and growing, with a mission to support our management with the best available financial information and provide accurate analyses of our fast-changing markets. Given our most recent debute on the Australian stock market (MMM) we are looking to strengthen our team with an exceptional Financial Controller!

What you’ll do

• Assist in monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing activities of the group (IFRS)
• Facilitate and further develop financial reporting and analysis tools (sales and cash tie outs, balance sheet reviews, etc.)
• Maintain internal standards, processes and routines based on group requirements
• Supporting the audit processes for various internal audits and annual group audit
• Assist in the implementation of our ERP system
• Cross-functional collaboration with various departments (e.g. Procurement, Operations, Marketing etc.)

Who we believe can excel in this role

• University degree in Accounting, Controllership, Business Administration or;
• 1-2 years of controlling, audit or accounting experience
• Highly organized, with affinity to numbers
• Able to work independently and prioritize tasks
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office, especially MS Excel
• Fluent in English

Good to have

• Proven knowledge of IFRS
• CPA track and/or Big 4 audit firm experience
• International experience is a plus
