WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a hands-on Manager to oversee our growing Accounts Payable team. This position ensures accuracy and completeness of the Accounts Payable sub-ledger and general ledger. This individual must possess the drive for innovation and the ability to build lasting relationships with key stakeholders. This position requires a person who performs at a high level of accuracy and efficiency, is well organized, demonstrates ownership and initiative to accomplish goals. Additionally, the candidate will innovate to drive efficiencies through continual evaluation of our systems and business processes. This role will work closely with the Accounting and Procurement teams and report directly to the Senior Manager of Accounts Payable.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Manage the global Accounts Payable and T&E processes
  • Ensure invoices and employee expenses are processed timely, accurately, and in compliance with Braze policies and procedures and IRS requirements
  • Strong knowledge of sales and use tax; ensure sales tax compliance and track where we need to self asses
  • Ensure new suppliers are set up correctly
  • Manage the annual 1099 filing process
  • Support monthly and quarterly financial close process, including preparing account reconciliations
  • Reconcile corporate credit cards
  • Reconcile AP accounts
  • Monitor and clear all error logs
  • Review and clear AP Aging
  • Prepare payment batches
  • Supervise and motivate the AP team members and their daily work with a continued focus on automation
  • Evaluate processes and procedures to gain efficiencies and cost savings by driving continuous improvement
  • Maintain proper internal controls and the enforcement of Company’s policies and procedures
  • Manage and report key indicators to the leadership team
  • Assist in auditor requests

WHO YOU ARE

  • 7+ years of Accounts Payable experience, including 3+ years in a manager capacity
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration
  • General accounting experience
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office or Google Suite is required
  • Strong written and communication skills for interaction within the finance team, external accountants, vendors, and upper management
  • Firm understanding of audit controls, Sarbanes Oxley and the accounting close process
  • Experience using Coupa and NetSuite is a plus
