Manager, Connected Fitness (COGS / Margin)
THE ROLE:
Peloton is looking for a passionate, hard-working and motivated Manager to join our FP&A team and oversee all aspects of COGS, inventory planning, and gross margin reporting/analysis for our Connected Fitness business. The role will report into the Senior Director, FP&A and will be a key resource for the broader organization. The ideal candidate is driven and resourceful, with strong prioritization skills and a desire to dive into the data.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and own all financial models for budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning related to Peloton’s Connected Fitness Product COGS inclusive of inventory and supply chain planning, logistics and indirect costs
- Partner with Operations and Supply Chain teams to provide effective analysis of margin trends and variance reporting to senior management
- Support month-end close process through close partnership with the Accounting and Supply Chain teams
- Manage relationship and provide analytical support to our in-house manufacturing operations
- Enhance monthly & quarterly internal and external reporting, including driving insightful analyses to explain trends and any variance to plans
- Help to identify key trends and potential risks & opportunities across the business
- Assist in creation of ad-hoc analyses for cross functional leaders and management
- Oversee one existing direct report with potential to further build out the team in the future
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years in FP&A / corporate finance / investment banking / supply chain management
- Undergraduate degree in finance / economics / accounting / mathematics preferred
- Extraordinary Excel / PowerPoint / financial modeling skills
- Industry experience in retail or consumer products preferred
- Experience with COGS and inventory planning, manufacturing accounting, supply chain management preferred
- Experience managing and leading a team
- Excellent communication / collaboration skills required; role involves building strong relationships across the organization
- Must be a proactive & highly organized self-starter, able to work independently and under tight deadlines
- Systems – no working knowledge needed; prior experience with financial planning tools (such as Host Analytics/Planful, SAP, etc.) is a plus
