Manager, Pricing and Promotions
Overview
The Manager of Pricing and Promotions will be responsible for pricing and promotions analysis for Discovery+ including DTC and B2B models. In this role, the successful candidate will focus on long-term revenue and long-term value analysis of Discovery+ subscribers. The Manager of Pricing and Promotions will work with Finance teams on predictive models for all pricing promotions including take rate, retention analysis and revenue forecast.
Responsibilities
- Construct and present financial models in support of promotional programs and pricing changes
- Track pricing lifecycle for all subscribers and produce predictive models in support of long term value, long term revenue, churn and retention
- Analyzed defined/core segments and cohorts for strategic pricing team
- Work with retention team to provide pricing impacts to retention and develop strategies to reduce churn proactively and win back lost users
- Maintain all models to sync with current forecast and in support of ongoing budgetary needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a numerical or marketing discipline or equivalent years of experience
- Strong analytical, communication and time management skills
- Experience with revolving membership programs/credit card or loyalty program promotions preferred
- Ability to understand and interpret trends and react with strategic/tactical changes
- Good technical skills and knowledge of spreadsheet analysis; Google Sheets/Excel
- Strong communicator with ability to adjust / adapt to situations to maximize results
- Ability to work face-to-face and electronically (e.g. telephone, e-mail, IM, social media)
- Ability to work under tight deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Ability to lead and work with a diverse team
