The Role:

The Manager of Revenue Operations is a key member of Newsela’s go-to-market operations who will partner with commercial leaders across the company to drive efficiency and productivity throughout the Lead-to-Cash lifecycle. As part of the Revenue Operations team, this individual will focus primarily on sales process design, deal controls, and sales systems improvement.  You will design and optimize processes; operationalize process controls through reporting and communication; provide analytics to drive strategy; and partner across the company to develop the tools that make Newsela’s sales and customer success teams as successful as possible.

Why You’ll Love This Role:

As leader within the Revenue Operations team, you will partner with management across finance, sales, success, product, marketing, and data to drive Newsela’s significant investment in operational maturity. You will also have the ability to influence critical GTM strategies and operational structures across the company.  Most importantly, you get to work with a group of people who are smart and passionate about building a business disrupting a $10B market segment. Your work will enable Newsela to scale quickly and efficiently, and will ultimately help increase our ability to get engaging, culturally responsive learning content into K-12 schools and districts nationwide.

Why We’ll Love You:

You have 5+ years of experience in sales or revenue operations, ideally in a fast-paced, high-growth SaaS business. You have deep experience implementing and working within the Salesforce suite of tools, including Sales Cloud and CPQ  as well as strong reporting, query, and analytical skills with a focus on Salesforce report/dashboard design automation as well as Microsoft Excel modeling. You have a baseline understanding of post-closed-won (i.e. finance/accounting) terminology and processes including but not limited to: order administration; automated billing; collections, revenue recognition, etc.  You also experience supporting variable compensation and incentive programs, including policy execution and calc administration.

About Newsela:

One of the fastest growing tech companies in K-12 education, Newsela was founded on the principle that while every child may have unique learning preferences, they all deserve a rich learning experience that ignites a love of learning. We built our platform based on learning science research to deliver the most engaging, authentic content to modernize how teaching happens in the classroom.
