Finance Manager, Corporate Finance

The Role
The Finance team at Cedar is seeking a Finance Manager who will provide analytical support for key business priorities and lead critical work streams in financial planning and reporting ! This includes owning the company-wide forecast model, supporting budgeting, opex and headcount planning, and building strategic analyses in partnership with key cross-functional partners. This individual will work across nearly all teams at Cedar, including but not limited to Finance, Commercial, Product, Engineering, People, and Marketing. The ideal candidate is a strategic problem solver who is focused on the details and enjoys finding creative ways to solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Own, manage, and enhance the company financial model
- Lead period expense and headcount reviews and variance analysis
- Proactively communicate and report key financial and operational drivers and metrics
- Build and consolidate analyses and presentations for executive partners including monthly and quarterly business reviews, board meeting and investor presentations, and other financial review presentations
- Drive key financial and budgeting related deliverables, supporting monthly budget vs. actuals review, quarterly forecasting, and annual planning
- Identify and implement cost savings initiatives and recommend a course of action if risk is present
- Develop and present regular financial reports and analysis, trending budget performance and financial positioning to senior finance leadership and segment leaders
- Analyse and compare monthly and quarterly financial results and KPIs against plan
- Lead processes and communications regularly working with budget owners across the organization to monitor and revise budgets throughout the year and life of project(s)
- Ensure compliance with current budget and spending policies, and propose improved policies and systems regarding spending guidelines, cost savings, and annual planning
- Work with the Finance/Accounting team to streamline internal financial reports and reporting processes to deliver more efficient, more effective, and more useful reports and analysis
- Create and maintain global financial reporting to provide concise, consistent, and actionable analyses
Required Skills & Experience
- 6-10 years of FP&A, corporate/strategic finance, investment banking, or other finance-related experience
- BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering and/or similar subject area with analytical bias
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling with attention to detail
- Strong business partnering, influencing, and presentation skills
- Ability to communicate complicated analysis and solutions in a clear and concise manner to senior leaders at the company
- Ability to adapt to ambiguity and thrive in a rapidly changing environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with core financial processes combined with knowledge of standard finance systems (e.g., Netsuite) and planning tools (e.g., Anaplan)
- Proficiency in Excel and G-suite
- Experience in Looker, Tableau, or other similar data visualization tools
