Manager, Treasury Operations
THE ROLE:
As part of Peloton’s Treasury team, this Treasury Manager position will help build out and manage Treasury Operations consisting of cash and liquidity management, investments, banking, accounts receivables, accounts payables, vendor management, corporate card and travel, with additional responsibilities to be added over time. The ideal candidate has a strong analytical and project management skillset and enjoys working across a range of topics, from traditional finance and risk management to investments and payments. Intellectual curiosity, creativity adaptability, and resourcefulness will be key success factors in this role. This person will collaborate cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Overall responsibilities will include:
- Develop and analyze core KPIs
- Develop recommendations to improve efficiency and overall performance.
- Manage the process to expand the Treasury operations platform to include new business operations and M&A integrations.
- Create strong relationships with key stakeholders inside and external to Peloton, and collaborate on projects
- Create process maps, flowcharts, and related documentation; make recommendations to employ best practices
- Ensure compliance of SOX controls and work with internal and external auditors
Banking:
- Develop and maintain relationships with banking and brokerage partners
- Manage the bank account structures and services, including design, selection, and account/service implementation
- Perform bank fee analysis and negotiate fees with banking partners
- Research and propose value added products and services
Cash management and investments:
- Create and maintain short, medium, and long-term cash forecasts, perform cash flow analysis, and develop additional reporting
- Partner with Financial Systems Team to improve cash position and other reports
- Monitor the investments portfolio to ensure compliance with investment policy and analyze portfolio performance (e.g., maturity ladder, duration, product allocations, issuer specific exposures, etc.)
- Negotiate deposit rates and research other products within the investment guidelines to optimize yields
- Monitor the market for impact and opportunities for the portfolio.
- Manage allocation of cash to optimize returns while managing counterparty risk
- Manage ongoing funding of subsidiaries and monitor subsidiary balances to reduce FX exposures
- Develop in-house compliance and other models as necessary
- Prepare senior management level portfolio reporting on a recurring basis
AP/ AR/ Vendor Management/ Corporate Card and Travel:
- Oversee projects to improve processes, increase automation, and create efficiencies
- Partner with AP, AR, Vendor Management and external teams to understand gaps and areas for improvement or innovation
- Prepare senior management level portfolio reporting on a recurring basis
- Improve and create additional KPIs to better monitor queues and volumes
- Develop dashboards for the teams to help them operate more strategically and efficiently
- Perform cost/benefit and other quantitative analysis for new programs
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced degree
- 5+ years relevant experience
- Excellent analytical and modelling skills
- Excellent Excel and Powerpoint skills
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
- Self-starter who is intellectually curious and not afraid to seek out projects independently
- Strong business acumen
- Creative thinker, comfort with ambiguity
- High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality
- Excellent data management skills
