Middle Market Financial Analyst

Reorg are looking for a Finance Analyst to join our growing team. The person will work closely with a team of experienced journalists, financial analysts and lawyers to shape content, and will create in-depth reports on distressed corporate borrowers. There will be a particular focus on the middle markets with this role, as we expand our coverage into this space.
Requirements
- Produce valuation and waterfall recovery models, research reports and topical intelligence articles for publication and distribution to our subscribers
- Maintain active dialogue and cultivate relationships with subscribers and industry contacts to supplement coverage efforts, including idea sourcing
- Direct exposure to portfolio managers at many of the top distressed hedge funds on a daily basis
- Support and collaborate with our middle market reporter team to cover topical distressed situations, including court hearings, with a focus on middle market coverage.
Responsibilities
- Minimum of 5+ years of investment banking, advisory or desk analyst experience in the restructuring and/or distressed space
- Possess very strong technical and analytical skills as well as excellent written and oral communication abilities
- Experience in middle market coverage in particular is a plus
- Ability to travel occasionally for court hearings and industry events
