Reporting Manager

We are looking for an experienced Reporting Manager to own and drive all financial reporting for the company. The Reporting Manager will be tasked with preparing all relevant financial reporting for the business. Reporting to the Controller, the Reporting Manager will prepare the monthly financial statements in accordance with US GAAP, including the balance sheet, income statement of stockholder equity, statement of cash flows as well as the year-end notes to the financial statements. This is an amazing opportunity for someone who is keen to build out a proper reporting function at a fast growing technology company.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial reports including: balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements and supporting information as well as internal reporting packages for Board of Directors
- Manage internal/external review of these documents
- Manage communications with external auditors on external financial statements and accounting issues to ensure auditor agreement with company decisions on accounting disclosures, and issues
- Implement and maintain reporting procedures to comply with internal control requirements
- Prepare draft MD&A prior to actually require for SEC filings
- When required, prepare 10-Qs and 10-Ks and other documents for filing with the SEC
- Prepare company XBRL filings and ensure company's tagging is up to date
- Work with the Corporate Controller to research accounting issues as requested and prepare technical memorandums
- Participate in special reporting projects and ad hoc requests as directed
What We'll Expect from You:
- Relevant experience working at Big 4 accounting firms with heavy exposure to SEC/financial reporting and financial reporting experience in public companies
- An excellent knowledge of US GAAP and SEC rules and regulations is required combined with the ability to research and propose company positions on complex accounting issues
- Strong planning skills and a knack for managing and optimizing processes and meeting assigned deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and understanding of intricate cross-dependencies
- An ability to clearly articulate progress, change, and status verbally, written or through presentations
- Ability to work with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives
- Experience and desire to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all internal stakeholders as well as agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results
- Effective at helping teams deliver to their commitments
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Masters/MBA degree is preferred
- Bonus: Experience in a pre IPO environment
