Overview:

VICE Media is seeking a Residuals & Participations Finance Manager reporting to the CFO of VICE TV & Films. This role will oversee the financial and accounting, operational, and administrative aspects of Viceland and VICE Films titles with back-end participants, including the title set-up process, distribution method/channel tracking, and revenue report preparation.

Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee set-up process by collecting all required data and documentation/contracts to set up titles for residual payments
  • Collect premiere date data from internal scheduling trackers and report new premiere dates to back-end participants
    • Prepare talent participation statements and facilitate all payments to ensure compliance with contractual terms and obligations
  • Prepare monthly accrual and balance sheet reconciliations for all outstanding obligations
  • Work on special projects for CFO, as needed

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a finance/accounting position
    • Residuals and profit participation experience required
    • Experience within the TV or film industry (or royalty accounting in music) preferred
  • Ability to interpret complex talent and production agreements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Proficient with Excel and accounting/financial software, NetSuite a plus
