BetterCloud, voted Crain's Best Place to Work 2015, 2016 and 2017, is looking for a highly motivated Revenue Accountant to join our rapidly growing team. We are looking for an individual who wants to roll-up their sleeves and make an immediate impact on our organization.

The Revenue Accountant will play a key role in the company’s financial reporting and analysis function. The role will primarily be responsible for managing monthly revenue recognition. The role will perform a critical recurring task of reconciling bookings to billings and serve as the front line for revenue analysis and recognition. This role will interact with the sales and legal org. A successful candidate will look forward to partnering with the rest of the Finance team as we go live on ASC 606 using internal resources. The role will be a key thought leader in the future of the Deal Desk Function and will play an active role in ensuring that our deal desk function operates effectively and maintains key controls.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze monthly account reconciliations
• Own and manage a monthly revenue analysis comparing our stated ARR figures to GAAP.
• Perform monthly reconciliation of bookings to billings and assist in developing controls to ensure the effective revenue recognition.
• Key role in design and implementation of an expanded deal desk function. This component of the role will be facing the sales org and legal org and regularly liaise with sales reps and senior management.
• This role will play a key role in the implementation of procedures to be compliant with ASC 606. Will be responsible for monthly revenue and contract cost allocations in accordance with ASC 606.
• Assist with ad hoc finance projects and other operational finance tasks.

Qualifications | Required:

• Experience: Minimum of three years
• Bachelor’s degree required, in Finance/Accounting
• Excellent communication skills
• Very detail-oriented and highly organized
• Creative thinker and problem solver, proven analytical skills

Qualifications | Recommended

• CPA: Highly preferred
• SaaS experience and/or subscription based revenue experience required or ASC 606 experience is a major plus.
