WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking a hands-on Revenue Accounting Manager to join our growing Revenue Accounting team in our New York City headquarters. This role’s primary duties and responsibilities include reviewing contracts/contract modifications under ASC 606 guidance and being the liaison for our external auditors. This position will also work closely with the Sales, Legal and Revenue Operations teams.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Review contracts for revenue implications under ASC 606 (options with material rights, variable consideration, etc)
- Perform monthly/quarterly analyses on material rights, VC, deferred revenue/unbilled rollforwards and commissions
- Perform semi-annual SSP analysis
- Perform ad hoc analyses on new contract commercials as they arise
- Assist with implementation and enhancement of revenue systems
- Work with revenue operations to ensure accuracy in reporting systems
- Help lead the quarterly & year end audits and be the point of contact for our external auditors
- Ensure timely completion of monthly/quarterly close procedures
- Assist in maintaining SOX compliance in their respective processes
WHO YOU ARE
- 4 years of revenue accounting experience, Big 4 (audit/advisory) or relevant industry experience
- Experience with ASC 606 and SOX compliance requirements
- CPA
- Experience with reading and interpreting contractual language
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical skills
- Experience working in Salesforce, NetSuite and/or Zuora, a plus
- SaaS or Technology industry experience, a plus
- Ability to work cross functionally in a fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities, and adhere to tight deadlines
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
