What you'll be doing:
- Lead the revenue recognition and reconciliation process:
- Provide timely and accurate revenue reporting for the month end close
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of revenue of both ARR and variable revenue
- Reconcile deferred revenue and accounts receivable
- Provide accurate month end balances
- Prepare month end revenue journal entries
- Lead Accounts Receivable management / reporting and recommend improvements to the A/R process:
- Payers: report on and analyze insurance claims submission, days outstanding, payer and patient balances, adjustments, bad debt, collections. Work with the Billing team to improve revenue cycle performance
- Enterprise: manage monthly billing and collections process with customers
- Patients: report and reconcile A/R balances and aging for patient responsibilities
- Partner with Sales and Sales Ops pre and post sale to ensure contract terms align with rev rec policies and invoicing procedures, and to manage the accuracy of contract billings
- Assist with quarterly and annual reporting requirements
- Serve as a liaison between and the Finance and Healthplan Ops departments.
- Partner with BI and Healthplan Ops to develop automated reports to facilitate performance improvement
- Provide insights and recommendations for process improvements and enhanced controls that support the company’s rapid scale
- Support the accounting and finance team with reporting, month end close, FP&A, new projects and initiatives, and other administrative duties as required
What we expect from you:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting desired
- 5-7 years of related experience in Revenue/Accounts Receivable accounting role
- B2B SAAS Experience required
- Experience in developing and implementing new processes and process enhancements
- Deep Understanding of ASC 606Self-starter, organized, efficient and proactive
- Ability to work independently in a high-paced small-team environment
