We are looking for an experienced Revenue Cycle Team Lead to manage and develop billing & claims processing at Talkspace. We are looking for someone who is an expert in claims management through payer portals and wants to bring their talents into a “for purpose” space. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about mentorship, process and collaboration. What You’ll Do:

  • Own the claims management process for our Revenue Cycle team 
  • Process claims accurately by submitting claims on behalf of Talkspace therapists, tracking status of claims and following up with insurance companies
  • Provide reporting insights and develop indicators, tools and reporting mechanisms
  • Design new and make improvements to existing claims management workflows/processes
  • Train and develop new and existing team members on best practices
  • Monitor individual and team performance and make recommendations to proactively ensure the team is meeting departmental objectives
  • Serve as subject matter expert on claims and integration with insurance companies
    • Recover rejected claims and work with claim denials
    • Follow up on accounts receivable
    • Post insurance checks
    • Send invoices to clients for member liability
    • Answer member billing questions
    • Actively work with account management, product and customer services to develop and steamline member liability and eligibility processes
  • Additional duties as assigned


About You

  • At least 5 years of experience managing claims in an outpatient clinic setting, including experience with Accounts Receivable and with submitting health insurance claims through payer portals
  • At least 1-2 years in a managerial or lead role, passionate about people development
  • Deep understanding of the claims lifecycle process and how to best optimize for efficiency and quality
  • Reporting and tracking experience in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets
  • Knowledge of Medical, Vision, Dental or Behavioral Health terminology (i.e. CPT Codes)
  • Experience working with industry tools and payer portals (i.e. Trizetto) 
  • Possession of strong interpersonal and collaboration skills that can be utilized cross functionally
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Passionate leadership qualities to support the entire team 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines
