Our Finance Team is growing!
Stellar Health’s Finance & Accounting team is seeking a Senior Accountant that will work directly with the Controller to enhance and shape Stellar’s finance and accounting function during a period of rapid growth and scaling. In this role, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing accounting and general ledger activities to ensure accurate and insightful financial reporting for all stakeholders. As the Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for processing and accounting for the general ledger activity, maintaining reporting of our customer’s incentive payment programs, and will play a critical role in the month end process. This is an instrumental hire as Stellar Health scales and it will give the individual significant opportunity to advance and take on more responsibility at a swift pace.
As Senior Accountant you will:
- Participate in the month end close by creating Journal Entries in the GL and owning particular tasks in that process
- Prepare and review monthly accounting documentation and reconciliations
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, while driving to improve both areas through efficient process design and automation
- Manage and prepare monthly reporting for customers on Stellar’s Incentive Payment Program
- Assist in the preparation of monthly reporting for the leadership team, providing useful insights and analysis of month end fluctuations
- Support the the Controller with ad hoc accounting-related matters and projects
As Senior Accountant you should have:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting or corporate finance
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in accounting or corporate finance, with experience in the software or healthcare industries preferred
- Experience and/or exposure to Netsuite or other ERPs and accounting systems
- Strong understanding of US GAAP
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic high-growth environment
- Strong organization and communication skills, with the ability to work well cross-functionally
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high quality and consistent work product
