Narmi's Co-Founders previously ran a financial institution as CEO and CTO so understand the challenges and needs of the market first-hand. This gives us a unique competitive advantage and heavily influences our product and engineering efforts.
Our team is looking for a motivated accounting professional to support our rapidly growing business. In this role, you will provide leadership and execution of core financial accounting processes, monthly/quarterly close, reconciling of accounts, as well as preparing accounting reports and facts in accordance with guidelines. The ideal candidate will improve and expedite the accounting close procedures and take personal responsibility for the integrity of the financials. You will be obsessed with journal entries, deferred revenue and expense management and ensure Narmi's path to financial success is smooth and clean.
Responsibilities
- Reconcile accounting records on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
- Prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP regulations
- Handle the accounts payable and accounts receivable function
- Lead larger projects such as financial audits, sales tax remittance, year-end income taxes and diligence requests
- Process and manage expenses
- Lead payroll operations and build a scalable sales commission infrastructure
- Assist in financial reporting as needed for internal and external stakeholders
- Work with third-party accountants, auditors and consultants to perform necessary daily, weekly, monthly and annual tasks
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA preferred
- 4-6 years of accounting experience; software industry experience is preferred
- Strong knowledge of SaaS based concepts (deferred revenue, prepayments, etc.)
- Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- Strong project management and process design skills; highly organized, independent, and self-motivated
- Data-obsessed and unafraid to go down to the lowest level of detail for truth
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Ability to think creatively and critically, and thrive in a dynamic and often ambiguous work environment while maintaining high standards of work quality
