The Finance team is responsible for preparing accurate financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and working with cross functional teams to manage financial risks and make our goals achievable. We work in a fast-paced environment with complex accounting challenges. In order to meet these challenges, we are constantly building new processes and improving existing ones. As a member of this team, the Senior Accountant will be working closely with the Accounting Manager and will be responsible for maintaining the general ledger function, including the monthly financial close, consolidation and reporting, account reconciliation, internal control environment, and process improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Execution of monthly general ledger closing process, including preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts and ensuring timely and accurate results
  • Review company expenses and spending through variance analysis and determine monthly accruals and perform flux analysis
  • Work cross functionally with AP, Payroll, FP&A and various business owners on policies and processes to help drive key systems initiatives and improvements
  • Provide guidance to staff accountants on invoice coding, T&E processing and month-end close processes
  • Assist in the development and implementation of internal processes and controls
  • Other responsibilities include ad hoc analysis, special projects and systems enhancements as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3+ years of experience in the Big Four and experience at tech/startup companies
  • Experience with month-end close and the GL function
  • Detail oriented self-starter with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines
  • Ability to think on your feet and change or adapt to ambiguous situations
  • Excellent interpersonal, writing and communication skills
  • CPA preferred
