The Senior Accountant will support the team and play a key role in building our infrastructure. (S)he will focus on inventory and fixed assets accounting, reporting, analytics and improving process/systems. This is a full-time role who will manage a staff accountant and oversee external accountants. This role reports directly to the Accounting Manager.

Prior experience in a high-growth, multi-currency and/or public company is highly desired. 

Primary Responsibilities

Inventory & Fixed Assets: 

  • Own timely receipt of all global inventory movement information
  • Collaborate with warehouse and facilities managers to develop procedures and scalable information flow; document in standard operating procedures guide
  • Ensure proper and timely transaction entry in NetSuite for all global inventory movements
  • Review fixed asset and inventory account reconciliations monthly; assist in completion as needed
  • Coordinate quarterly inventory physical counts and ensure ERP data mirrors warehouse counts
  • Ensure items capitalized as fixed assets meet capitalization criteria

Other

  • Ensure timely and accurate information is provided for internal/external audit requests for your area of responsibility
  • Ensure compliance of existing and improve fixed asset & inventory policies and procedures
  • Regularly assess fixed asset & inventory procedures; refine as necessary to reduce month end close
  • Maintain orderly records and support for all transactions
  • Escalate issues and providing regular status updates
  • Play a key role in developing, documenting, and enforcing sales & use tax procedures

Requirements

  • Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • CPA preferred
  • Experience and fluent in finance systems (NetSuite desirable but not essential)
  • 3-5 years’ experience in accounting with at least 1 year in fixed assets or inventory
  • Strong written, comprehension, time-management and analytical skills
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills
  • Critical thinker who can foresee potential obstacles and consider alternative approaches
  • Able to work in a high volume, dynamic, deadline driven environment while maintaining accuracy, coordinating and performing multiple tasks simultaneously
  • A passion for leveraging systems and driving process improvements

The Ideal Candidate 

  • 3-5 years of proven success in a similar role 
  • An undergraduate degree in Business, Accounting or Finance 
  • ERP experience (Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, Intacct, Workday, etc.) 
  • A passion for leveraging systems and driving process improvements 
  • CPA and/or Big-4 experience a plus
