About the role

The Senior Accountant should be eager to dive deep into the mechanisms of our business, from general accounting functions to improving systems and reporting structures. Someone who loves numbers, process, and collaboration would thrive in this role, working independently and providing actionable insight from their professional experience.

What you’ll do

• Work directly with our Financial Controller performing general ledger accounting functions, including billing, A/R, revenue recognition, A/P, etc., to ensure accurate processing of all accounting transactions in accordance with internal controls and US GAAP
• Take responsibility for month-end close activities including preparation of journal entries and reconciliations for balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Liaise with US and overseas consultants while assisting with annual audits and tax compliance projects
• Evaluate legacy systems and implement new process to automate transaction processing and routine tasks
• Partner with Finance Manager on ad hoc analyses for monthly tracking, board reporting, and budgeting/forecasting purposes
• Provide a high level of customer service within finance and across non-finance departments (including senior management)
• Work cross-functionally on strategic company projects/initiatives, thinking critically to produce solutions that drive company performance

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience. 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience (mix of private and public accounting experience preferred)
• A team player. You’re adept at building relationships across the organization.
• Excellent time management skills. You can prioritize and multitask with little direction.
• Curiosity. You’re genuinely interested in our business and how it works.
• A self-starter. You constantly raise the bar for yourself and others, comfortable with total ownership in tasks.
