As the Sr. Accounting Analyst, you will be an integral part of Compass’ New Development team. You will be a key contributor to managing the over $2.5 Billion in New Development projects in the pipeline. You will develop processes and procedures that will help ensure the accuracy and completeness of our records and contribute to smooth financial operations. With exposure to all facets of the business, this is a great opportunity to further develop your accounting, financial and legal knowledge.

At Compass You Will:

This position will work closely with teams across the company and report to Compass Development Finance Lead. Responsibilities include the following:

  • Create and maintain reports, as well as provide insights for internal analysis
  • Manage, track and maintain revenue and expense schedules
  • Manage accounts receivable
  • Provide monthly reporting and analysis
  • Process project billings, deposits and commission payments
  • Review complex agreements to ensure proper accounting treatment
  • Prepare general ledger accounting
  • Provide support with evaluation of individual projects and their financial performance
  • Design, recommend and implement modifications of accounting methods, procedures, forms and records
  • Provide support to management and outside clients

What We Are Looking For:

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA license (or licensing in process) preferred
  • Experience with NetSuite preferred
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, and impeccable attention to detail
  • Self-starter, positive attitude, zero ego, and ability to problem-solve under minimal supervision
  • Must understand complex business models and strategy
  • Ability to interact with senior management with confidence and credibility
  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous tasks within an open and interactive environment; exceptional organization techniques
  • Positive, cooperative attitude
  • Proactive, always seeking additional responsibility
  • Demonstrated ability to improve processes and procedures
