Senior Controller

The controller will be responsible for the overall day to day transactional functions  of the Company’s finances.

Duties and essential job functions  -

• Responsible for leading Opentron’s internal accounting team
• Managing the financial close process and related financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP; you will:
  • Maintain close calendar and check-list; establish formal SLAs
  • Record and reconcile all bank transactions and perform end of period adjusting entries
  • Conduct period over period flux analysis and test for errors by analyzing actual vs. expected results in partnership with finance
  • Prepare income statement, balance sheet, and statement of cash flows for financial and management reporting on a monthly basis
  • Lead a close review with the management team, with partnership from finance
• Coordinate all activities with external auditors
• Tax planning and compliance
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge to ensure our financial operations  meet the highest standard
• Oversee and direct the accounts payable function including vendor management, invoice processing, and timely scheduling of payments
• Oversee all aspects of tax compliance including sales tax, federal and state income taxes, franchise tax, etc., with assistance from our external accounting partners
• Partner with finance and business teams on projects or analysis on an ad-hoc basis 
• Responsible for consolidating financial reporting for multiple business units across multiple domestic and international entities

Qualifications:

• BA/BS in accounting; Masters a plus
• 10+ years progressive accounting experience
• Start-up experience
• Excellent excel skills
• Ability to operate effectively and thrive in a fast-paced, changing start-up environment
