Job Description

Are you an organized person with a passion for numbers and finance? Do you enjoy recording, analyzing and managing financial accounts? Are you reliable, excellent at math, guru in Excel and able to communicate effectively to various departments?

If so, you are the at the right place! We are looking for someone who will be instrumental in growing the organization and its accounting needs, a person who wants to develop their role at our company and make it their own in the sports betting industry. We want innovators, we want doers!

This role will be part of our growing US finance department, supporting the Finance Manager in Tipico USA. This person needs to be a bit of a generalist, handling and assisting with everything from preparing financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, assisting with monthly, quarterly and annual closings, as well as providing financial reports to support our company’s decision making. There is room to grow into a more senior role within the organization and we are looking for someone who wants to develop their career with us. This is a new role, so as the position develops new duties and responsibilities will be added.

The Senior Financial Analyst will be report directly to the Finance Manager and work together with the rest of the management team and business operations.

Key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Improve and automate existing manual processes in line with the needs of the finance department
  • Embrace business intelligence tools available and find ways to automate reporting
  • Provide financial reporting and assistance to finance manager and as well as other functions within the Group on ad hoc queries, tasks, etc. 
  • Provide FP&A insights, monitor budget vs actual and keep a close eye on day-to-day spending
  • Update and review monthly and quarterly forecasts 
  • Assist in yearly and multi-year budgeting
  • Compare actuals vs. budget and identify areas of improvement
  • Assist in month, quarter, and year-end closes

Qualifications

  • BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional certification (e.g. CPA) is a plus
  • A minimum of 3-5+ years’ experience in finance or an accounting related field
  • Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations. 
  • Strong business focus with the ability to provide data driven business insights and recommendations 
  • In-depth experience in risk analysis, budgeting and forecasting 
  • Advanced MS Excel skills including VLOOKUP and pivot tables
  • Good attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Good analytical skills, ability to analyze numbers and generate insights 
  • Ability to multitask and in possession of sound problem solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • You are a self-starter, who has a high degree of motivation to work in a fast-paced environment
