Senior Fund Accountant

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Assist in the preparation and review of quarterly Net Asset Valuations and financial reporting packs consisting of financial statements (including but not limited to, Balance Sheet, Statement of Investments, Statement of Operations, Statement of Cash Flows, and Notes to Financial Statements), management fee and carried interest calculations, investor allocations, multiple and IRR calculations and capital account statements
- Ensuring accounting and presentation is consistent with U.S. GAAP and Limited Partnership Agreements
- Prepare and calculate monthly accruals, management fees and capital allocations
- Coordinate the funds payment and expenses process to ensure compliance with the fund documents and timely and accurate execution and reporting
- Assist with the coordination of capital calls and distributions, managing end-to-end process, and reviewing calculations and notices produced by our third-party administrator
- Oversee tax issues relating to both the Fund and the Fund Manager, coordination of tax providers
- Oversee annual audit process for the funds in collaboration with the team, coordination with fund administrator and auditors
- Establish the internal accounting and finance policies and procedures to ensure best practices are always being followed
- Interpret fund agreements to determine impact on financial reporting and partner capital accounting requirements
- Train and mentor junior staff
- Assist Business, Investor Relations, and Compliance teams, among others, providing information and data to respond to queries and performing ad hoc analyses based on the funds' or investors' activity
THE RIGHT STUFF
- 4+ years of previous accounting experience from a fund, fund administrator, or other relevant financial services experience.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting or Finance; CPA or progress towards preferred
- Prior experience training, mentoring, and/or managing junior team members
