The Role

SevenRooms is looking for a Senior Manager, Accounts Receivable Operations to lead and manage our global Order Management, Billing & Collections functions within the Finance team. In this role, you will lead a team of Billing Managers and AR specialists who are responsible for supporting customers and internal teams through the purchase, billing and payment processes. A key part of the position will be focusing on evaluating, implementing, and continually improving policies, processes, automation and quality control measures across invoicing, collection and revenue operations. You will manage day-to-day operations while having an eye on the future plans for system and process enhancements to support continued business growth. 

What You’ll Do

  • Oversees AR processes to ensure timeliness & accuracy of subscription creation, activation, billing and collections
  • Manages the billing & collections function and team on a daily basis and in a hands-on fashion, including subscription creation, activation, invoice creation, billing, collections, and cash application
  • Identify opportunities for process automation and optimization, with a focus on scalability and driving significant growth
  • Interface with various department leads to provide timely, accurate and relevant data
  • Assess current operations, document processes and offer recommendations for improvement, and implement new processes, checks and SLAs
  • Create and distribute periodic billing and A/R metrics and reports; prepare special reports, as requested
  • Assists in the monthly closing process
  • Assist with the annual financial statement audit

Who You Are

  • 7+ Years of experience in billing, subscription billing, AR, and collections in a high-growth SaaS organization
  • Deep understanding of subscription billing and financial concepts
  • Proven track record for improving processes and problem-solving
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience building KPIs/metrics and supporting the analysis of data to drive more streamlined processes 
  • Ability to work and achieve results in a fast-paced environment, helping the team make more informed decisions and business partner with the Revenue teams outside of Finance
  • Strong knowledge of Google Apps (Gmail, Docs, Spreadsheets, etc.)
  • Experience using Netsuite and Salesforce strongly preferred
  • Strong people management skills, ability to coach, mentor and develop across all levels 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Focused on doing what’s right for the business; clear and genuine communicator with excellent relationship building skills who inspires trust and credibility with all levels of individuals, both inside and outside the company
  • Team player that puts the company and team first

SevenRooms provides access to WeWork co-working spaces for 7Roomies across the country to safely work, collaborate, and connect. Usage of these spaces are optional. Our home WeWork hub is located in the heart of New York City's Financial District.
