The Accounting team is looking to hire a Senior Tax Manager to support our overall Finance team. We are looking for an experienced professional who can bring their knowledge to enhance the accounting + tax process, while working independently to build out the Tax department.
What You Will Do:
- Work closely with outside tax advisors to manage information requests and support key tax compliance processes.
- Assist with and review ASC 740 tax provision and tax accounting processes
- Review all tax compliance prepared by the Company’s 3rd party tax providers
- Coordinate the tax review and audit process with our external auditors
- Analyze and reconcile tax accounts and perform flux analyses
- Prepare financial statement disclosures related to income taxes
- Develop and document tax positions
- Assist with tax audits and assessments
- Perform and document SOX controls for tax accounting and reporting
- Actively monitor and analyze federal, state and local tax legislation that may impact our operations
- Own transfer pricing, internal management fees, and intercompany agreements
- Prepare and review property tax filings
- Independently research tax related topics, including federal, state, and international tax developments and laws
- Identify process improvements and streamline processes
- Manage special projects, including input and advice on day-to-day tax matters and the tax impact of new business initiatives, acquisitions, significant transactions, etc.
Who You Are:
- You have 5+ years of combined corporate tax and public accounting experience
- You're able to produce timely deliverables and manage multiple and shifting priorities
- You have a strong understanding of ASC 740
- You're resourceful and have remarkable analytical and problem-solving abilities
- You’re able to engage and collaborate with other teams across Finance and beyond
- You can communicate complex tax concepts in ways that are meaningful and useful to non-tax personnel
- Experience with NetSuite is a plus
- Experience with Partnerships or Up-C’s is a plus
- B.S. degree in Finance or Accounting; C.P.A. or MST strongly preferred
