Noom is looking for a motivated and talented Senior Corporate Tax Accountant to join our growing team. We are a rapidly growing organization that offers a unique opportunity for the right individual to develop and progress their career. The Senior Corporate Tax Accountant will report directly to the Senior Manager, Corporate Tax and work closely with the Director of Tax.


The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out Noom’s day-to-day corporate tax compliance, accounting and reporting. The position requires strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage daily operations, properly service internal stakeholders and to work with external consultants.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Driving Noom’s day-to-day corporate income tax compliance, accounting and reporting
  • Overseeing the completion of U.S. federal, state and local corporate tax returns and related computations
  • Maintaining relevant documentation and computations for quarterly income tax provision process
  • Handling current and deferred tax rollforwards
  • Consolidating U.S. and non-U.S. tax information for accounting and reporting
  • Completing reconciliations in support of monthly and quarterly closes
  • Preparing income tax disclosures for inclusion in regulatory filings
  • Responding to tax notices and inquiries
  • Coordinating with external advisors supporting the function
  • Keeping pace with relevant tax regulations and accounting guidance
  • Maintaining workflow calendars and trackers
  • Assisting with internal controls documentation
  • Ensuring timely and accurate tax payments
  • Liaising and collaborating with relevant internal stakeholders
  • Participating in ad-hoc projects including M&A, due diligence, forecasting and planning

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, tax or finance – CPA strongly preferred
  • 3+ years of relevant experience to meet the demands of a growing, global technology company
  • Experience with quarterly income tax operations of a publicly traded company
  • Proven knowledge of U.S. federal, state and local income tax compliance
  • Understanding of tax accounting requirements under ASC740
  • Familiarity with internal controls documentation
  • Ability to communicate tax needs to non-tax stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage competing priorities
  • Must be a team player who can also work independently
  • Software/technology industry experience is a plus
  • Tax reporting technology experience is a plus (OneSource, CorpTax)
  • NetSuite experience is a plus
