About Us:

SmartAsset is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst / Billing Analyst to join our Finance and Operations team. An ideal candidate is self-motivated, independent, has a sharp attention to detail and expert-level data analysis skills, and has a background in billing and/or accounting. This new role will handle client billing including understanding our payment processors, monthly financial process, and partner with internal stakeholders in SalesOps.  This is a great opportunity for an individual looking to be part of an innovative and dynamic fintech startup.

Job Duties

• Support current monthly billing process with a sharp focus on improvements and scale
•  Reconcile billing activity, including escrow balances and credits
•  Develop deep understanding of current business flows, processes, systems
• Manage key relationships with internal teams to assure accurate billing and build cross functional relationships
• Deliver reporting to highlight monthly activity, KPIs
• Maintain process controls per GAAP and current audit policies
• Partner with internal teams to support various external diligence requests
• Support SVP Finance & Controller

Qualifications

• Experience with Quickbooks, Stripe, Salesforce, and Netsuite a plus
• Experience with client billing and reconciliation
•  Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude
• 2-5 years related experience
• Experience with Excel and Google Sheets, including pivot tables, vlookups and data reconciliations
• Proactive attitude and interest in building efficiency and scaling operations
• Bachelor’s Degree in business, accounting or finance
