Working directly with the country’s largest beverage alcohol suppliers, importers and producers, SevenFifty’s Staff Accountant will join a squad of 3 to work on general ledger reconciliations, full cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable and financial reporting.  You will help support not only the finance team but the whole organization in complex accounting areas such as revenue recognition and also industry specific metrics and reporting.
If you’re ready to put your accounting and critical thinking skills to work helping support a dynamic company in an ever-evolving beverage industry, this role is for you. You can be located anywhere in the U.S. and will report to our Accounting Manager.

What you’ll do:

  • Prepare journal entries and reconciliations for the monthly close process, in accordance with US GAAP
  • Manage accounts payable including processing invoices in Bill.com, obtaining proper authorizations and reviewing and verifying expense coding
  • Support account receivables team by researching and analyzing billing issues
  • Reconcile sales tax reports for external accountants to ensure the company is in compliance with all registered jurisdictions
  • Prepare schedules in support of audit and tax requirements
  • Assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures for the organization to improve internal controls
  • Perform other financial analysis or other ad hoc policies as needed

What you'll have:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting related fields
  • 2+ years work experience in accounting, finance, or related field
  • Experience with full cycle AP and AR processes
  • Experience with the month/year end closing process
  • Comprehensive understanding of US GAAP accounting principals
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Superb attention to detail
  • General understanding of business and financial statement analysis
  • A penchant for self-driven learning and research as you work.
  • Clear written communication, and the ability to quickly identify and share important discoveries and problems in your work with others on the team.
  • The ability to be accountable for your own time in a fully remote environment.
  • Whatever remote office set up works for you, including a reliable source of internet, as we do not reimburse employees. 
  • Respect for the industry we serve.

  • A college degree, or high GPA or SAT score.
  • An address in or around New York City. 
  • Any equipment – we’ll provide a PC/MacBook and monitor.
  • To drink alcohol! Many of our colleagues do not.
