This role will report to the Senior Accountant and work with our SVP of Finance and Operations

We are looking for a motivated, excited and intellectually curious individual who wants to grow themself professionally to fill our Staff Accountant position. This position has multiple facets and we are interested in candidates that are eager to be part of an exciting and growing company. 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and reconcile credit card account, research and post credit card expenses including scanning invoices into the accounting system
  • Process vendor invoices, properly code invoices to the correct general ledger accounts and respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment status
  • Process and receive proper approvals for payment requests/invoices; verify that all documentation/receipts are included. Scan all documents and files accordingly.
  • Organize and report employee reimbursements
  • Assist in commission report calculations
  • Generate and send invoices, follow up with customers and conduct proper procedures to ensure timely collections
  • Responsible for reconciling daily and monthly bank and any assigned balance sheet accounts, including accrued and prepaid accounts
  • Maintain fixed asset schedule 
  • Participation in month-end and annual financial closings. Assist with other month-end reconciliations and analysis, as required
  • Assist with preparation and coordination of the audit process

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting
  • 3+ years of accounting experience
  • General understanding of accounting principles
  • Previous accounts payable, accounts receivable and monthly close experience
  • Ability to handle bank reconciliation, maintain prepaid and accrual expense schedule
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • High level of organization
  • Proficient with excel including ability to create pivot tables and v-lookups
  • Ability to communicate externally and internally with all levels of management
  • Ability to prioritize job duties

Preferred:

  • Intacct or any similar mid-market accounting software helpful
