About the Role
The Staff Accountant at Namely will support billing, recording and reporting subscription based revenue.
Responsibilities
- Review contracts processed by billing analyst and confirm proper accounting treatment as per Company revenue recognition policy
- Liaison between finance department and implementation department to confirm and document the go-live dates and revenue recognition on all new starts
- Support Revenue accounting system and posting to NetSuite for subscription based products
- Prepare detailed revenue and deferred revenue schedules to support monthly close
- Compute and support unbilled revenue
- Review and assess allowances and record
- Prepare revenue reports for management, reconciliation of backlog and revenue to ARR
- Support budget and financial projection process of subscription revenue
- Financial Audit support
- Revenue related projects
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- 3 – 5 years of relevant experience
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- SaaS Industry Experience
- NetSuite experience
- Zuora experience
Nice to Have
- Aspiring or possess CPA license
- Public accounting background (auditing SaaS companies)
- Worked in a public company preferably SaaS company
- SalesForce experience
