This is an opportunity to become a key contributor at a rapidly scaling pre-IPO tech company. The Staff Accountant will have the opportunity to learn how a best-in-class SaaS business operates and touch a number of areas within the Finance and Accounting function. You will play a key role in supporting the Finance team while contributing to the company’s effort to build processes scalable for Sisense’s rapid growth. Working cross-functionally, you’ll have the opportunity to interact with colleagues across the company as you support the Accounting Manager in managing the daily accounting operations, reconciliations and month end close process.
What you will do in the first 30 days
- Independently navigate between accounting systems: Netsuite, Zuora, and Salesforce
- Post transactions and categorize records in the general ledger (e.g. by assets, liabilities and expenses)
- Perform and assist with account reconciliations and analysis during month-end close
- Take ownership of the contract reviewing process
- Maintain and update customer subscriptions within Zuora
- Prepare timely and accurate customer invoicing
What you will do in the first 60 days
- Reconcile all credit card purchases to monthly statements
- Perform all cash account reconciliations for all relevant bank accounts
- Import Zuora invoices into Netsuite system
- Post customer payments by recording checks, ACH’s, and wires and credit card transactions
- Maintain accounts receivable customer files and records within Netsuite, Zuora, and Salesforce
- Collaborate with sales team and deal desk on managing opportunities
What you will do in the first 90 days
- Prepare, examine and interpret financial statements.
- Responsible for full cycle accounts receivable (data entry, invoicing, and collections)
- Assist and resolve billing inquiries
- Coordinate and resolve issues with sales order and Salesforce opportunities: Deal Desk liaison
- Document accounting policies, procedures and workflow
Ongoing responsibilities
- Assist with IPO readiness and support day to day accounting functions
- Assist with the month-end closing process, conducting research and making correction journal entries for account discrepancies, prepares closing journal entries, posts accrual entries, and prepares financial statements.
- Complete ownership of the full cycle invoicing process: Quote to Cash
- Managing financial reports, records, and accounts reconciliations
- Ad hoc analysis and reporting requests from leadership
- Identify issues and errors and bring to attention of leadership
- Streamline, automate, develop and implement best practice accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes when needed
- Assist in the preparation of the annual audit

- You are known for your attention to detail and ability to handle confidential material
- You have experience with NetSuite, Zuora, and Salesforce (preferred)
