About the Role
Orchard is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our growing Accounting team. The Staff Accountant will have substantial exposure to the monthly closing process, preparation and analysis of the Company’s financial records, execution of a variety of financial procedures, accounts payable and receivable, and other day-to-day accounting responsibilities.
This is a full-time role that will report to the Accounting Manager and be based out of our growing New York office.
What You’ll Do Here
- Assist with the monthly close process.
- Assist with vendor payment processing (setting up wires/ACH, printing checks, etc)
- Maintain detailed monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Responsible for maintaining daily cash related schedules (receipts, generation/burn)
- Completing worksheets for each home transaction (buy & sell-side).
- Assist with monthly financial analysis on actual vs budget.
- Work closely with auditors during our annual audit.
- Ad hoc duties as assigned
We’d Love to Hear From You if You Have:
- 1-3 years of accounting experience
- Undergraduate Degree (preferably in Accounting/Business focus)
- Understanding of GAAP
- Proficient in MS Excel
- Knowledge of Netsuite a plus
- Knowledge of Concur a plus
