About The Role:

MANTL is looking for a motivated and curious Strategic Finance Associate to help scale the Finance function. As an early team member, you will support MANTL’s growth through modeling, analytical insights, and various strategic initiatives. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will play a critical role in laying the groundwork for our FP&A function and assist in implementing new systems and tools.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and own financial models and scalable reporting processes
  • Provide comprehensive financial insights for the business through building and improving existing models, and breaking down complex models into digestible components for business leaders
  • Partner across the organization to support functional decision-making processes
  • Support in defining, tracking, and reporting of KPIs and financial metrics across the business to evaluate and benchmark performance
  • Support corporate finance processes, including fundraising & other ad-hoc projects
  • Work closely with accounting to marry management reporting and accounting actuals
  • Manage activities to support internal and external financial reporting packages
  • Support the ongoing enhancement of finance processes and infrastructure
  • Perform ad hoc analysis for executives as required

Must Haves:

  • 4-6 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, strategic finance, with 2+ years at a high growth B2B SaaS business
  • Excellent financial modeling and analysis skills 
  • Understanding of B2B SaaS businesses, metrics, and customer lifecycles
  • An intuitive understanding of time value of money, opportunity cost, sunk cost fallacy, operating leverage, opex vs capex etc. Ideally you can inject these thought processes into discussions internally!
  • Low ego and enthusiastic “roll up your sleeves” mentality
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and willingness to proactively work with teams across the company
  • Ability to identify and resolve potential roadblocks with actionable plans
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics or related field

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience with strategic finance in a venture capital-funded company
  • Interest in Fintech
