As a Trader on the Portfolio Management Team, you’ll be a trusted partner - making an impact by supporting the organization with sound operational & financial decision-making. You will aid in research and development and trade portfolios. In addition to possessing the financial mind needed to execute on the day-to-day, you will need to demonstrate a creative approach in the development of proprietary tools.
You are a self-starter and a problem solver who is looking to merge your passion for live events and entertainment with your financial acumen and adaptability in order to make a big impact for SeatGeek partners and clients.
What you’ll do
- Assist in daily management (implementation, tracking, monitoring, and rebalancing) of portfolios on multiple markets
- Monitor the execution of orders including execution quality review and onboarding new inventory
- Help build quantitative tools to analyze portfolio exposures and risk-factors
- Closely liaise with internal operations teams and external vendors to resolve any portfolio discrepancies and making improvements to daily processes
- Prepare reports to identify synergies, pitch ideas and create a roadmap for the platform
- Act as first point of contact for portfolio management on issues raised by compliance, client service and operations regarding portfolios and/or trading
What you have
- 2-4 years of work experience
- Preference for previous experience executing transactions of equities or derivatives at a hedge fund, bank, or proprietary trading firm
- Fluency in Excel and SQL (Python experience preferred)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and think clearly under pressure
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Very detail oriented, exceptional quantitative and analytical skills
- Project management and organizational skills are a must
- Passion for sports, music, and live events in general
- BS/MS/PhD in quantitative field – Physics, Math, Statistics, Engineering
