These rising challenges inspired the creation of REZI, with a mission to make housing more accessible financially without the bias and time commitment of the past. We are building proprietary technology and financial tools to transform the inefficient urban home rental industry with a foundational goal to provide a stellar client experience. Founded in 2016, REZI is an ambitious Y-Combinator backed startup with prominent VC support.

About the Finance Team

Come lead REZI's finance team where you will play a material role in defining our value, and shaping our future. Rezi is in search of an experienced VP of Finance to lead all Finance and Accounting functions.

So what does a VP of Finance do at REZI?

The VP of Finance's primary responsibility is to lead the accounting operations of the company, including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an excellent system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with GAAP. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, audit, financial analysis, forecasting, budget management, cash management, accounts receivable and accounts payable management, and tax. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high growth environment and is well versed in working closely with senior management.

What you will do here:

  • Provide leadership and support to accounting staff
  • Issue timely and complete financial statements, including periodic bank reconciliations, monthly close, and annual audit
  • Maintain orderly record keeping and system of controls over accounting transactions
  • Manage a detailed projection model for annual forecast and budget
  • Monitor the financial performance of the company
  • Communicate financial metrics to senior management
  • Provide financial analysis for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations
  • Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenant
  • Ensure that accounts receivable are collected promptly and accounts payable are paid in a timely manner
  • Comply with federal, state, and local government reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Provide strategic guidance around capital financing options to support company growth
  • Develop and coordinate all relationships with lending/financial institutions

 We would love to hear from you if you: Desired qualifications include:

  • Strong Character: positive, honest, and emotionally intelligent
  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in accounting, CPA designation
  • 8+ years progressively responsible accounting experience in a senior accounting role
  • Team Player with exceptional work ethic, initiative, judgement, and organization
  • Ability to work closely with senior management team; strong communication skills
  • Fluent with excel financial modeling and QuickBooks accounting platform
  • National accounting firm audit experience preferred
  • Real estate and asset backed financing experience preferred
