Position Overview 
We are seeking a highly skilled Front-End Architect with deep expertise in Adobe’s Edge Delivery Services (EDS) and modern front-end development frameworks to lead the design, architecture, and implementation of high-performance, scalable, and maintainable digital experiences. This role will be pivotal in architecting the implementation of complex digital experiences across enterprise platforms, ensuring alignment with best practices, brand guidelines, and customer expectations. 

You will serve as a front-end leader, working closely with UI/UX designers, backend engineers, product managers, and client stakeholders to deliver Accessible, SEO optimized, and performant front-end solutions. 
 

Key Responsibilities 

Architectural Leadership 

  • Define, design, and document front-end architecture for enterprise-scale web applications integrated with Adobe EDS and AEM. 

  • Champion front-end performance best practices with a strong emphasis on Google’s Core Web Vitals, Lighthouse scores and edge caching strategies. 

  • Ensure architectural alignment with accessibility (WCAG 2.1), security, and compliance standards. 

Solution Development 

  • Architect and build modular, reusable components that support multiple authoring methods (e.g. doc-based authoring and WYSIWYG editing) 

  • Integrate AEM with Adobe Experience Cloud services (Target, Analytics, AJO) for personalized and data-driven experiences. 

  • Implement responsive, cross-browser, and cross-platform solutions. 

Collaboration & Mentorship 

  • Interface with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure seamless integration with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Adobe Commerce, and Adobe Asset Manager.  

  • Mentor developers, conduct code reviews, and foster a high-performance engineering culture. 

  • Collaborate with Solutions Architects to shape the technical direction of EDS implementations across projects.  

  • Collaborate with UX/UI teams to ensure design fidelity and optimal user experience. 

Technical Strategy 

  • Stay current with emerging front-end best practices, Adobe’s technology advancements, and industry best practices. 

  • Identify opportunities to leverage Adobe EDS for improved content delivery, personalization, and experience optimization. 

  • Advocate for continuous improvement in deployment pipelines, CI/CD, and automated testing for front-end codebases. 

Required Qualifications 

  • 8+ years of professional front-end development experience; 3+ years in an architect or lead role. 

  • Expertise in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) front-end development, or similar headless content delivery systems. 

  • Hands-on experience with Adobe Edge Delivery Services (EDS), including configuration, deployment, and integration. 

  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React or Angular, HTML5, and CSS3/SASS. 

  • Solid understanding of API integration patterns (REST/GraphQL), asynchronous data handling, and caching strategies. 

  • Experience with performance optimization and lazy loading for large-scale applications. 

  • Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards, and SEO optimization. 

Preferred Skills 

  • Adobe Certified Expert (AEM Sites Architect or AEM Sites Developer). 

  • Expertise of headless CMS architectures and JAMstack approaches. 

  • Familiarity with Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) integration. 

  • Familiarity with cloud hosting (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). 

  • Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions). 

Soft Skills 

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills. 

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. 

  • Ability to lead by influence and foster collaboration across teams. 

  • Strategic mindset with the ability to balance technical excellence with business priorities. 

Education 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
