About the Role

We're looking for a driven Internal Communications Manager to level up our internal information sharing and brand. Your primary objective will be to streamline and centralize announcements and communications to help ensure that everyone on our global team feels engaged, informed, and excited about our business, strategy and product.

You will act as the primary storyteller for employees, reporting to our SVP of Global HR and partnering closely with our Senior Director of Communications and Head of Investor Relations. This role requires creativity and curiosity. We’re a fintech company and so it is important to have a strong comfort level with data storytelling i. You should have a reporter’s mentality for finding a good story and be unafraid to ask questions and make recommendations - even when working with colleagues in leadership positions.

The ideal candidate will be an excellent writer and editor. It also helps to have a keen eye for visual formatting of complex information so that key points are easily understood (for example via Google Slides). You will also have chances to work closely with our incredible in-house design team.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Establish both push and pull communications where Riskified employees can receive messages we want to send and know where to go to get them.
  • Design, produce and improve our all hands meetings to be more engaging while aligning with business strategy and goals
  • Update and maintain main portals for key employee policies, news, and information Continuously improve and maintain it so team members can go there for the latest-and-greatest 
  • Develop, write, and edit communications on behalf of management. This may be related to organizational changes, update emails, product presentations, etc.
  • Craft messaging and talking points for major company launches and milestones that go hand-in-hand with our external communications
  • Develop compelling and clear communications around our HR programs and offerings
  • Ensure that all internal communication around Riskified is coordinated and effective through the development of an annual calendar and comms plan for internal employee programs, projects, events and trainings
  • Establish relationships with teams across the company to learn about their successes and challenges and tell those stories more broadly; become an expert on what we do, how we work and how to navigate our structure
  • You’ll be sending a lot of company wide updates and soliciting a lot of feedback: we want you to be available for questions and able to route that feedback to the right people!

Qualifications

  • 5-8+ years in comms/PR (agency or in-house) with 3+ years experience doing internal comms
  • Experience working at a public company (or with public clients) is a plus, start-up experience is also a plus (we’re a global public company with 700+ employees)
  • Extensive experience creating flawless written materials across Google Suite, emails, newsletters, prep documents, etc.
  • Experience building up an internal communications strategy is a plus
  • Ability to tell a story: we want your help finding what’s interesting around the company and relaying it in compelling ways 
  • Proactive with ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, including facilitating crisis comms to represent the internal communications perspective
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Flexible, adaptable and proactive; comfortable with ambiguity

The base salary range for this position is $110,000-$130,000. This range is applicable to candidates who will perform the job either wholly, or in part, within New York City.
