Who we are:

Data Partnerships is the team that identifies, negotiates with, and manages the providers of data that power many of the Trade Desk’s products (think audiences, measurement, identity and more). We pride ourselves on maintaining a robust and vibrant data marketplace to give our clients a breadth of choice in how they operate on the platform. But we do so much more than partner identification and management; Data Partnerships are also strategic thought leaders and partners with Product, Data Science & Engineering teams to design the future of the platform, through the application of our partners’ data.    

What you'll do:

The General Manager of Measurement Data Partnerships leads the team responsible for collaborating with Product, Data Science & Engineering to design the future of measurement on the platform. The team has direct ownership of identifying, maintaining and growing the third-party partnerships essential to bringing the strategic design to life. Considered an integral part of the Data Partnerships leadership team, you will utilize this influence to drive results, frequently turning distinct solutions into best practices that can be implemented across the globe. Keeping the pulse on organizational capabilities, you will deliver direction, vision, and leadership for necessary changes to improve the way we service and support our data partners.  

  • Lead the Measurement Data Partnerships team inclusive of third-party measurement capabilities across all verticals
  • Identify, negotiate, contract, integrate, manage, optimize, and rationalize data partners to support advertiser’s needs and strategic imperatives
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop a strategic roadmap to surface measurement results that validate the effectiveness of the platform, leading to enhanced investment  
  • Maintain regular communications and checkpoints with partners to report on performance, innovation and future opportunities that leverage their data to influence advertisers’ campaigns
  • Work with commercial teams to evangelize, educate and grow the use of partner and platform solutions
  • Facilitate communication internally and externally related to partnerships (demands, strategies, roadmaps, operational requirements, etc.)
  • Represent The Trade Desk’s Measurement strategy and business by speaking at industry events, participating on panels and drafting original content for publication
  • Manage and develop a team of direct and indirect reports  

 

Who you are:

  • 10+ years of experience in partnership development and management with an emphasis on measurement
  • Adept at both developing strategies and operating day-to-day within cross-functional teams 
  • A well-respected thought leader within the industry, able to command the stage at industry events and author original content for relevant publications
  • Manage initiatives in complex matrixed environments and make actionable decisions in the absence of perfect information
  • Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced environment that requires context switching several times a day as you cover multiple dimensions within the measurement business
  • Experience with strategic partner management inclusive of vendor negotiation 
  • Exhibit high emotional intelligence and integrity and build deep consultative partnerships with your business stakeholders  
  • Influence individuals at the executive level and drive strategic business transformations
  • Track record of helping direct reports grow their capabilities, responsibilities and careers

CO, CA, IL, NY, WA, and Washington DC residents only: In accordance with CO, CA, IL, NY, WA, and Washington DC law, the range provided is The Trade Desk's reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full-time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year.  Employees can also purchase The Trade Desk stock at a discount through The Trade Desk’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is
$221,200$405,600 USD
