Freshly, the leading healthy prepared meals delivery service, is looking for an exceptional Head of Human Resources to join and lead its Human Resources team. This individual will report to the CEO, and will lead the HR function while working closely across all functions within the organization.

Freshly currently operates a manufacturing facility in Phoenix, AZ (260 employees) and will be starting up a 170K sq.ft. facility in Savage, MD in Q4 2018 (400 employees). The corporate office located in NYC (60 employees) , and its Customer Experience team based in Phoenix, AZ (25 Employees). Direct reports will include the lead HR professionals in NY & AZ, as well as the lead recruiter in NY. One of the first key hires will be an HR lead in MD.

In this rapidly growing start-up, the leader will responsible for building out the HR platform including the development, coordination and execution of programs related to talent acquisition and retention, training and development, compensation & rewards across both corporate and each manufacturing facility,employer branding, safety/health and wellness, and more.

Freshly recently raised it’s Series C funding led by Nestle, with other investors including Insight Ventures, Highland Capital Partners, White Star Capital, and BrandProject.

RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to)

• Lead HR Function,Talent Acquisition Team, Corporate HR Team, and HR Teams at facilities in AZ & MD.
• Oversee and manage total compensation and rewards, including the hiring plan, compensation structure and bands, employee benefits, workplace safety, and HR administration & compliance.
• Manage transition off PEO to in-house managed administration, including selection and implementation of new providers/process for benefits, payroll, HRIS, compliance and other systems. Coordinate with brokers and service providers to obtain an ideal offering and solution for Freshly employees.
• Develop and implement processes around professional development, onboarding, career pathing, goal setting, sourcing, and performance reviews for employees at all Freshly Facilities, Customer Experience and HQ locations to drive Freshly’s vision and mission
• Support Freshly’s leadership to provide subject matter expertise and accurately interpret, counsel, communicate, and educate HR, managers, and executives on pay decisions, leveling, state and federal legal regulations & policy guidelines, and job/employee evaluations.
• Maintain organizational records and documentation.

REQUIREMENTS

• 10+ Years experience in a multi-location organization, and previous experience leading the human resources function in a manufacturing facility(s). Direct involvement in supporting a plant start-up and implementing workplace safety processes is a plus
• Deep understanding and passion for cultivating and maintaining a great culture with motivated and highly engaged employees
• Fluency with the landscape of HR services and products, including HRIS & HCM systems, applicant tracking systems, performance management tools, trainings platforms, and other tools and available resources
• Experience building and delivering HR programs from the ground up in a fast growing organization spread across different locations and different workforce organizations
• Strategic vision and strong project management skills
• Effective communicator with the ability to take feedback from team members and provide insights and actions plans.
• Bachelor's degree, HR Credentials Preferred
