The D. E. Shaw group seeks a recruiter with an excellent record of professional and academic achievement to find and engage impressive talent. WHAT YOU'LL DO DAY-TO-DAY:

This individual will have responsibility for a significant portion of the firm’s operational roles at all experience levels for diverse groups throughout the firm, including (but not limited to) Corporate Development, Finance and Operations, Human Capital, Legal & Compliance, Risk, and Treasury. You’ll advise hiring managers throughout the search process as you define roles, design and execute a multi-channel candidate sourcing strategy, and develop candidates from first contact to close. You’ll also assess candidates rigorously while providing a positive experience, tracking key metrics, and measuring impact. As part of the role, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in broader Recruiting initiatives.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• Candidates should have at least three years of recruiting experience within an in-house and/or search firm environment and should possess keen attention to detail, superb organizational skills, sound judgment, and a client-focused approach.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to engage effectively with members of multiple business units, are also essential.
• Prior experience in a role involving collaboration and problem solving in a fast-paced environment is preferred.
• We welcome individuals with varying degree levels (BA, BS, MS, Ph.D.) from any field of study, as our firm has a long history of hiring applicants from the humanities and social sciences.
• We neither expect nor require previous finance knowledge or experience.
