Away is seeking a Creative Recruiter to manage full-life cycle recruiting for all Creative team roles. This role is responsible for handling an average of 6-12 full-time and freelance searches at any given time, at all levels—from intern to director. You will partner with hiring managers to design and execute staffing and recruitment strategies to help Away continue to build an innovative, strategic and boundary-pushing team of creatives.

This position reports to the head of talent acquisition and is based out of our headquarters in NoHo, New York City.

REQUIREMENTS

What you’ll do:

  • Manage full life-cycle recruiting across all Creative team roles—including graphic design, art direction, web design, copy and production (photo, video, and print)
  • Develop a deep understanding of Creative team business goals to inform staffing strategy
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to hiring managers, helping to craft roles, write job descriptions, design hiring plans, & craft proof of skills tests
  • Attract, source, & screen applicants using a variety of techniques, including networking, social outreach, & direct sourcing
  • Manage a high number of open roles at varying levels across many different teams, while maintaining a high level of attention to detail & customer service to both internal clients & external candidates
  • Track metrics throughout each search, providing hiring managers and senior leadership with weekly updates
  • Cultivate and manage a network of freelancers for ad hoc creative projects
  • Partner with VP, Creative Strategy in forecasting future hiring needs
  • Develop and implement a Creative team onboarding program, working closely with Creative management
  • Partner with Head of Talent Acquisition on developing and implementing acquisition strategy and best practices
  • Contribute to ad hoc People team projects as needed

Who you are:

  • 2-4 years of experience working as a creative recruiter either in-house or at an agency
  • Experienced recruiting for creative roles across all levels with the passion to fight for best-in-class talent—we’re not interested in the status quo
  • Highly personable and professional with the discretion to handle confidential information
  • Well networked in digital, e-commerce, and/or lifestyle industries
  • Composed in fast paced, high-pressure environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator
