The Director of People Ops will own and support HR processes that create a positive environment for our employees. In addition, you will develop and execute people strategies to complement or enhance our existing programs. This role requires an extremely perceptive person who can effectively partner with team members at all levels of the organization. What You’ll Do:

  • Onboarding. Ensure a seamless and exciting onboarding experience for all incoming team members. Curate welcome packages for our remote-leaning workforce, manage programming for general onboarding sessions, provision accounts in partnership with IT, and establish/maintain creative programs to help integrate team members across the organization.
  • Diversity, Equity, Inclusion. Assist in moderating our DEI committee and help drive forward efforts to continue building an inclusive and equitable workplace. This includes implicit association testing, internal speakers/workshops, Employee Resource Groups, internship and mentorship programs, and partnerships with organizations that support underrepresented groups.
  • Team Building & Culture. Champion a culture where we work hard as a team and celebrate one another. This includes employee recognition programs, internal team building events, employee surveys, wellness initiatives and anything else that would enhance the employee experience.
  • HRIS. Manage employee files in BambooHR and continue to develop and leverage our internal HRIS (including not limited to: payroll and benefit integrations, onboarding tools and workflows, performance management, and audit/input variable comp history).
  • Security & Compliance. Ensure compliance across all areas of the HR function, including state and federal employment, VISA sponsorships, security/privacy requirements, census reporting, 401k compliance and testing of our Business Continuity Disaster Recovery plan.
  • Internal Training Programs. Partner with the leadership team to develop manager and team trainings and champion a culture of growth and inclusion. Areas of focus may include: Harassment, Unconscious Bias, Leadership Development, Mentorship, DISC assessments and effective collaboration.
  • Payroll Support. Collaborate with our VP Controller on payroll runs in the US and the UK. Maintain employee benefit contributions and manage any integrations or process automations with ADP. Seek to constantly improve and implement scalable processes.
  • Performance Management. In partnership with the VP of People and leadership team, design and implement an effective process for continuous feedback and ongoing employee development. 
  • Paid Leave Administration.  Parental leave, pawternity leave, FMLA, disability, garden leave and any other type of long term leave not covered under our open PTO policy.
  • People Ops Support. Partner with the VP of People on strategic initiatives including employer branding, compensation philosophy, career mapping, COVID response management and remote workforce policies. Work to ensure all processes are strong from end to end.
  • Special Projects. As organizational needs and the external environment continue to shift, constantly evaluate and recommend new programs to evolve the function and offer a best in class employee experience. 


Necessary Experience:

  • Multiple years of progressive HR experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology or a related field
  • Current PHR or SPHR certification 
  • Tech stack includes ADP Workforce Now, BambooHR and Greenhouse ATS
